Prior to undertaking this role Caroline was the Chief Executive Officer at the Irish Medical Council. Specialist contracting companies are the primary trade contractors within the construction industry that carry out the work and are the direct employers of management personnel, apprentices and trades people. Ralph is coordinator of the Construction IT Alliance (CITA) BIM Group, chair of the Royal Institute of Architects of Ireland (RIAI) practice sub-committee for BIM, and RIAI representative to the Architects Council of Europe (ACE) BIM Working Group. He was one of the founders of the Construction IT Alliance and completed a Phd in Construction Informatics in Trinity College Dublin in 2007. He has been adviser to the Department on Public Expenditure and Reform on public works and construction services procurement since 2011 with oversight of the standard form of public works contracts that are in use across the public capital programme. He is also a member of the Irish BICP Client working group tasked with raising awareness of BIM from a client perspective. Gerard is a Senior Architect with the Office of Public Works. He is the Regional Architect for Dublin North, and had led to the adoption of BIM within the OPW.
